TECHNICAL TRAINING COURSES
For those divers who wist to take on the challenge of going past recreational limits. Training in the set up and use of technical rigs: Twin tanks (doubles), Decompression gases and tanks, Decompression planning.

xTEK 45
45m - Single Gas Switch - up to 100% O2
Get Started: This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge for planning and conducting decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45 m/150 ft. Graduates will be able to utilize back gas mixtures of air/nitrox not exceeding a PO2 of 1.4 ATA and utilize oxygen-enriched mixes up to 100 percent for accelerated decompression. This course meets the prerequisites for NASE xTek 60. Training covers topics such as:
-
Decompression models
-
Decompression sickness (DCS)
-
Decompression dive planning
-
Use of enriched oxygen mixtures
-
Gas requirements
Training also includes a practical application dive executing decompression dives with one decompression cylinder.

ADVANCED NITROX DIVER
Use of O2 up to 100% (no Accelerated Deco)
To teach candidates to dive safely using Nitrox such that they:
- Widen all aspects of their Nitrox diving to include the use of stage-decompression and pure oxygen.
- Are aware of the additional risks stage-stop diving and the use of pure oxygen.
- Are aware of the necessity of dive planning when using Nitrox and pure oxygen on dives.
- Are able to select the correct breathing mix for all levels of the planned dive.
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the need for depth discipline when using Nitrox and pure oxygen as the breathing mixture.
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the potent for dangers of oxygen rich blending and the absolute need for oxygen compatible equipment.

EXTENDED RANGE NITROX DIVER
54m - Two Gas Switch - Multiple Deco Stops
This CMAS Extended Range Nitrox Course, including accelerated decompression is an advanced speciality course:
-To a maximum operating depth (MOD) of 54metres, subject to a ppO2 maximum of 1.4bar at the MOD.
-Using Nitrox and /or oxygen for decompression purposes, subject to a maximum ppO2 of 1.6bar.
-To provide the candidate with a clear understanding of subject matter relating to Extended Range Nitrox diving including accelerated decompression methods.
-To provide a clear understanding of the physical and physiological aspects of advanced Nitrox diving and accelerated decompression procedures.
-To provide a clear understanding of the extensive dive planning required for Extended Range Nitrox diving, including Risk Assessment, equipment selection, equipment configuration, back-up gas, escape routes, accelerated decompression and support teams.
